The aim of the Carolin Illenzeer Fund is to collect financial and social assistance resources to support the children of the members of the Estonian Defence Forces who have been killed or severely injured in the line of duty. The guiding principles of the Fund are kindness and good will in order to help cover the schooling costs or support the hobby activities of the children of the members of the Estonian Defence Forces who have fought for Estonia.
Carolin Illenzeer is the daughter of Arre Illenzeer, a Senior Warrant Officer, who fell in operation “Iraqi Freedom” in 2004. Her father saw Carolin only once after her birth in summer 2004 while he was on leave from operation territory. The Fund was established by the Estonian Atlantic Treaty Association, the Estonian Reserve Officers’ Association, and OSMTH (a Christian officers’ organisation).
The Fund was started at the beginning of 2011 and it mainly focuses on charitable projects. All good people have the opportunity to support the children of fallen and seriously injured Estonian solders at all times, also in between major charity campaigns. We are counting on the kindness and the helping hand of the Estonian people.
